The first trailer for Westworld season 2 has just been unleashed, just a week after the Western/sci-fi series reportedly began filming.

HBO presented the first look Saturday following the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Though there aren’t many details about the upcoming storylines, it’s clear fans can expect a lot of action, more incredibly imagery, and, of course, a lot of blood. The trailer also confirmed the second season is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2018, presumably in the fall as the first season took about two years to film.

During an interview with Variety, the show’s co-creator Jonathan Nolan explained why there was such a long gap.

“It’s an ambitious project, and HBO has encouraged us to take the time and resources that we need to work on each stage of that,” he said. “[…] We wanted to in the second season spend some more time writing, then switch gears into production, then cut. So we’re not going to follow the annual year-on-year tradition of television. Television’s changing. And the ambition of the project is such that we’re going to take our time to get the second season right.”
