Melissa McCarthy took her spot-on Saturday Night Live impression of White House press secretary Sean Spicer to the streets Friday. McCarthy, in full Spicer attire, cruised through the streets of New York on a motorized podium as amused onlookers captured the action on Twitter:

The motorized Spicer bit took place near the CNN building and is expected to be included on this week's Saturday Night Live, NBC Newssaid. McCarthy is hosting this week's episode with musical guests Haim, making the Ghostbusters star the newest member of the show's Five-Timers Club.

Saturday Night Live is currently in the middle of its live coast-to-coast experiment, which kicked off with last month's episode featuring host Jimmy Fallon and musical guest Harry Styles. Instead of the usual delayed airing that plagues those living in Pacific and Mountain time zones, McCarthy's episode—in addition to next week's with Dwayne Johnson and Katy Perry—will actually be live all across the country.

"That way, everyone is in on the joke at the same time," NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt said of the coast-to-coast move, presumably alluding to everyone on Twitter always fucking up the jokes for those burdened with a tape delay. "Kudos to Lorne Michaels, the producers, and cast for making SNL one of the most relevant and anticipated shows in the zeitgeist."
