One of the most iconic mobile phones of all time is making a comeback.

17 years after it was first released, the Nokia 3310 is set to be relaunched this year as an antidote to the battery-draining age of smartphones.

According to Venture Beat reporter Evan Blass, the comeback of the 3310 will be announced at this month's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and will retail at €59.

Nokia will pitch the 3310 as a reliable second phone. Upon its release at the turn of the millenium, the 3310 was hailed for its features including a clock, calculator, an ability to store ten reminders and the original mobile game, Snake.

At one time kings of the mobile phone market, Nokia have struggled for space since the switch to smartphones. It's time to go back to basics.
