Though Donald Trump now considers Meryl Streep "overrated," he admitted she was one of his favorite actresses not too long ago.

If you tuned into Sunday night’s Golden Globes ceremony, or just spend a decent amount of time on the internet, you’re probably well aware of Meryl Streep’s incredible speech that took shots at Donald Trump. You can watch here if you missed it.

Hours after the legendary actress accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Award, the president-elect predictably went to Twitter to criticize Streep, calling her a “Hillary flunky” who was “one of the most over-rated actresses in Hollywood.” But it seems he didn’t always feel that way.

In an August 2015 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Trump praised the Academy Award-winning actress not only for her talent, but also for her character. When asked to name an actress who he loves, Trump responded: “Julia Roberts [another Hillary Clinton supporter] is terrific, and many others. Meryl Streep is excellent; she's a fine person, too. The problem is I'll name three or four or five and then the hundred that I know will be insulted, and I don't mean to insult them.”

Cut to January 2017, less than a year and a half later, Trump is discrediting her work and achievements after she accused him of mocking a disabled reporter.
