When Jimmy Fallon isn't busy petting KKK-endorsed President-elects on the head, he occasionally lands a worthy Tonight Show guest. Such was the case Wednesday with Felicity Jones, the Oscar-nominated star of this month's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The first standalone Star Wars film, currently on track to debut hella strong with $140 million, is now just days away from being readily available at your local theater. So why not kick Fallon's ass in a Star Wars-style fight simulation in celebration?

"I did a lot of kung fu," Jones told Fallon of her Rogue One training as Alliance fighter Jyn Erso. "I had a wonderful teacher called Master Li Yu, who was my kung fu teacher. I mean, it was many hours of devotion and practice and doing it over and over again. I'm wanting to kind of, you know, make Jyn a badass."

Jones spoke more on her inspiration for Jyn Erso with the New York Times earlier this week, noting that reliability was crucial. "It's hard to find an indie that has a great female lead—it's hard to find anything," Jones said Tuesday. "We wanted the audience to relate to Jon as a person. Like all of us, she's trying to work out what the hell to do."
