Carrie Fisher's beloved dog Gary, a 4-year-old French bulldog with a powerful social media presence, has found a new home. Gary will be cared for by Carrie's daughter Billie Lourd, TMZreported on Wednesday. Gary will be joined by Billie's own French bulldog Tina, who is already considered Gary's "best friend."
Friends of the family toldTMZ on Wednesday that Carrie "always wanted" Billie to care for Gary in the event of her death. Though Billie is said to be making sure BFFs Tina and Gary can peacefully coexist under one roof, Gary will reportedly remain "in the family" no matter what. Gary first entered the fold as a service pet to help Carrie with bipolar disorder.
Gary regularly attended high-profile events alongside Carrie, even popping into Ed Sullivan Theater earlier this year for an interview on Stephen Colbert's The Late Show:
