Actual physical interaction with fellow humans is such a drag. If we're being honest, that's why some (all?) of us keep our brains buried in our non-exploding iPhones instead of looking around at all the other humans. So why the hell would someone go and do something like, say, deleting their Instagram? Beats me. But Kendall Jenner, who recently did exactly that, has a theory.

"It's so crazy to me that it even became huge news like that," Jenner told Ellen DeGeneres Wednesday. "I mean, I guess I didn't expect it. I also took my Twitter off my phone. Like, I didn't delete my Twitter entirely but I took the app off my phone. So I had no idea anyone was even talking about it. I honestly didn't even think anyone would care."

That's cool. BUT WHY THO!?!? As Jenner explained, she just needed a break from all the bullshit. "I just wanted to detox," Jenner said. "I just wanted a little bit of a break. I'm always on it. I would wake up in the morning and look at it first thing. I would go to bed and it was the last thing I would look at. I felt a little too dependent on it. So I kind of just wanted to take a minute."

After admitting that she's already felt some mild "withdrawal" symptoms after two days away from the 'gram, Jenner offered a message of hope. "I'll be back," Jenner said. But what if she never returns to Instagram? What if we all deleted our profiles? What if we stopped using our phones entirely? What if we just stopped using technology altogether?
