The Deadpool 2crew hasn't had it easy in the past month. But despite the semi-major setbacks, losing both the film's director and composer, the show will still go on. And rumor has it, 20th Century Fox is gunning to begin production in January 2017.

The action hero sequel will reportedly start filming in British Columbia at the top of the year, according to reports at Canadian production site, What's Filming. The potential deadline puts a bit of a crunch for time on Fox, who will have a little under two months to finish the script, find a director, and cast two major roles.

Earlier in Oct. 2016, it was announced that director Tim Miller would be making his departure from the film studio, citing "creative differences" between him and star Ryan Reynolds as the reason for leaving, as previously reported. Only a couple weeks later on Nov. 3, composer Junkie XL, who worked on the original film, announced on Facebook that he would also be leaving as a show of solidarity with Miller.

Although the recent announcement about production is definitely a step in the right direction, fans are still a bit confused how it can proceed without a director and it's key cast members. The initial Deadpool film was a true success story, making $786 million worldwide in its opening day on Valentine's Day, Screen Crush reports. It will be interesting to see whether Fox can pull it off a second time as production gets underway.

Deadpool 2 seems like a trainwreck.
