New York Comic Con wrapped up this weekend, but not before John Wick: Chapter 2 hosted a suitably clandestine soiree that might have been the most killer event of the entire convention.
Select lucky guests were treated to the ultimate John Wick experience at The Nomad Hotel in NYC, which was redesigned to evoke the infamous Hotel Continental featured in the film. As classical music set the mood, guests chowed down on passed hors d'oeuvres and sipped signature cocktails dubbed “Baba Yaga” and “The Winston”; both named after characters from the movie.
The evening kicked off with an hour-long gathering with the film’s stars Keanu Reeves and Ian McShane, director Chad Stahelski, writer Derek Kolstad, and producer Basil Iwanyk. They chatted about the movie and took photos with invitees. Guests were then allowed to sample the upcoming John Wick virtual reality game from Lionsgate and Starbreeze Studios called John Wick Chronicles: An Eye for an Eye, while nearby revelers watched and cheered for the virtual action unfolding onscreen.
