Disney is continuing its live-action streak with plans for a Snow White remake, according toThe Hollywood Reporter. But the live-action musical remake of 1937’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will reportedly feature new songs. Snow White joins Disney’s leading ladies Belle of Beauty and the Beast and Mulan of, well, Mulan, both getting live-action remakes of their own next year.

The live action remake is set to “expand upon the story and music” of the original, reported THR. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was Disney’s first animated feature film. Erin Cressida Wilson, who wrote the screenplay for The Girl on the Train (adapted from Gillian Flynn’s book of the same name),  is said to be in negotiations to pen the remake. As for the film’s new music, songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who wrote lyrics for the upcoming critically acclaimed musical La La Land, are on board. Disney will team up with Marc Platt—already producingMary Poppins Returns, an upcoming sequel to the original 1964 film—to produce the Snow White remake.

Snow White has been brought to life before in live-action film with 2012's Mirror Mirror and the same year's Snow White and the Huntsman, which saw Lily Collins and Kristen Stewart, respectively, playing the main role. Aladdin and The Lion King are also in Disney's live-action remake pipeline.
