Despite his untimely death in 1973, Bruce Lee still remains the most influential figure in modern day martial arts, it’s because of him it has become such a relevant film genre. Like many creative innovators who passed well before their time, Lee left behind a body of unfinished projects, one of which, Warrior, is finally going to see the light day.

Developed by Justin Lin (Fast & Furious series, Star Trek Beyond)and Jonathan Tropper (co-creator of Banshee), 'Warrior' will be a crime drama that is (according to Deadline):

"set against the backdrop of San Francisco’s Chinatown in the aftermath of the Civil War [and] tells the story of a young martial arts prodigy, newly arrived from China, who finds himself caught up in the bloody Chinatown Tong wars."

The show is based on the on the martial arts master’s handwritten notes which were discovered by his daughter Shannon, who will also serve Warrior’s producer as part of Bruce Lee Entertainment.

It's good to see that 43 years after the magnum opus that was Enter The Dragon, Bruce lee's legacy is still going strong.
