Tom Holland is Spider-Man now and will remain Spider-Man for at least the foreseeable future. But what if things could have been different? What if the title of post-Tobey and post-Garfield Spider-Man had instead gone to Daniel Radcliffe, former Harry Potter and star of the best flatulent corpse movie of 2016? Radcliffe, for one, would have been totally fine with this.

"I would've been a good Spider-Man, but the boat has sailed on that and I'm very happy to watch Tom Holland do it," Radcliffe toldMetro Thursday. "He's fantastic. I love superhero movies." If the idea of the star of one of the most massively successful movie franchises of all time seeming very down for hopping into another massively successful movie franchise seems a bit daunting to you, allow Radcliffe to explain.

"If [the franchise] was good enough and something I was interested in," Radcliffe clarified. "I'm not sure if I'd sign up for something that was another seven or eight films or 10 years, but a shorter franchise, yeah." Makes sense. After all, Radcliffe did star in eight total Harry Potter films across a decade of his life.

Holland will next be seen in Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017, following his Spidey debut in this year's Captain America: Civil War. The reboot is directed by Jon Watts (Cop Car) and also stars Donald Glover, Marisa Tomei, Martin Starr, Hannibal Buress, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, and some guy named Robert Downey Jr.

In the meantime, go watch Swiss Army Man.
