Cuba Gooding Jr. starred in the The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, and its executive producer, Ryan Murphy, is now bringing Gooding Jr. to another of his projects. The actor has a confirmed role in season 6 of American Horror Story.

“When Ryan calls you and says, ‘Hey can you do this? Would you like to do that?’ It’s an immediate yes, no matter what it is,” Gooding Jr. said, according to ABC News. “That’s how I felt when I first met him and now, going on two years later. It’s just been an honor—it’s been a treat.”

Gooding Jr., who generally doesn’t like the horror genre, said he binge-watched the first five seasons of American Horror Story and “was truly blown away.” Rumors of Gooding Jr.’s addition surfaced afterTMZ suggested he may make an appearance.

Murphy likes using the same actors across his projects. Sarah Paulson, who played Marcia Clark in American Crime Story, has already appeared in every season of American Horror Story.

“It’s really been a treat to finally engage with her on camera, because when we did The People v. O.J., it was more about my scenes and then her scenes and us being in the courtroom but separate,” Gooding Jr. said. “But we’re not separate no more!”

The new season premiers this Wednesday on FX.
