Shelter Announces Music and Film Festival to Help the Homeless, with PJ Harvey, Shura and Speech Debelle

The homeless charity turns 50.

Homeless charity Shelter is 50 years old this summer, and to mark the anniversary, they’ve announced a series of special music, film and art events. Entitled ‘Gimme Shelter’, the season includes contributors from the likes of PJ Harvey, Richie Culver, Speech Debelle and Ben Wheatley.

The full programme is:

15 July – PJ Harvey will be reading a selection of poems from the critically acclaimed book The Hollow of the Hand. The event, curated by literary club night Book Slam, also features Tracey Thorne, Joe Dunthorne and Mark Watson. It will take place at St Pancras Old Church.
