It's only been two months since the final episode of the Walking Dead's sixth season ended with a cliffhanger for the ages, and fans around the globe are still beside themselves what's in store for Rick, Daryl, and the rest of the cast of the show. We're a solid four months away from getting any real answers about what to expect next season, but according to Norman Reedus, the payoff is going to be huge.
"I will definitely 100 percent say that it’s well worth the wait,” the actor told TVLine while promoting his upcoming series Ride with Norman Reedus. "It’s large. It’s mind-blowing." He also added, that while the fans are left practically pulling their hair out trying to guess the fates of their favorite characters, the actors on set in Georgia undergo a similar sort of process. "We’re a very tight-knit group down there, and we take it very personally, because we’re in it and living it," he said. "Every time you see us crying on camera, those are real tears. It’s a whole day of living that s–t."
He also talked about how difficult it is to open up to fans and inquiring minds about some of the more topsy-turvey moments on the show. "When personal things happen to you, you don’t wander around telling everybody your personal stuff," he explained. "So for us, it doesn’t feel like just a spoiler, it feels like a moment that really happened. And if there’s a death involved, it’s kinda weird to talk about it. It’s like going to our friend’s funeral or going possibly to our own funeral! It’s not like, 'Hey, how are you? Want a selfie? Let me tell you about the funeral I was just at…'"
Season 7 of The Walking Dead is reportedly set to premiere sometime in October.
