Radio host Howard Stern doesn't think gun control is the correct response following mass shootings like the one at Orlando's gay nightclub Pulse that killed 49 people and wounded 53 others. In fact, Stern thinks having guns could have helped 9/11 victims defend themselves as well as helped Anne Frank's family during the Holocaust.

Stern, Sirius XM host, said on his show: "I can't believe these people would come out afterward and their answer to Orlando is to take away guns from the public." He continued, "It's f****** mind-blowing to me."

Stern explained his stand with an analogy of people being "sheep" and those doing the attacking being "wolves."

"The sheepdogs are protecting you, but some of them can't be with you all day. There's not a sheepdog for every citizen, and a wolf is still eating one of you every night. 'Baaaaaaaa, oh I know, let's remove all the guns from the sheep.' What?" Stern said.

He even provided examples of places where gun violence has erupted despite current laws set in place against guns to prove gun control isn't an option, for example, France. Stern noted France has strong gun control laws and yet last November the deadly Paris terror attacks happened.

"In France, they have the tightest gun control laws on the planet," said Stern. "The terrorists all had AR-15, they had glocks, they have every kind of pistol, they have missile launchers."

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump similarly said the Paris attacks would've gone differently had people been armed with guns.

Stern also brought up the terrorist attacks of 9/11: "I'm going to tell you about the most gun-free zone on the planet: it happened during 9/11, it was on a plane. You know you can't get a gun on a plane, it's completely gun-free. So what did the wolves do? They said, 'This is great, we'll just kill the sheep with box-cutters.' They went on the plane with box-cutters, and all the sheep went 'Baaaaaaaaaa.'"

Finally, Stern speculated how being armed with guns could have helped victims of the Holocaust saying, "Can you imagine if the Jews, at least when the Nazis were banging on the doors, if they had a couple of pistols and AR-15s to fight the Nazis?" He added, "If Anne Frank's father had a f****** gun, maybe he at least could have taken a few Nazis out."

While some agree with Stern, like this gay gun rights organization, others disagree, including Democratic Senators who staged a 15-hour filibuster to force a gun control vote.
