What's in a name? A whole hell of a lot when we're talking Star Wars. With Episode VIII set for inevitable box office success next December, the speculation surrounding its title has started to reach dizzying heights. As The Force Awakens Again After a Brief Nap apparently isn't an option, one crafty spoiler lover may have actually stumbled upon the truth.

Though it goes without saying, here's a polite reminder: Obviously this post contains a potentially massive spoiler, so proceed with caution and/or reckless abandon. Totally up to you.

The official title of Star Wars: Episode VIII, at least according to some allegedly leaked info obtained by GamesRadar, is Fall of the Resistance. Footage showing the title in all its (alleged) glory first popped up on Reddit thanks to a spoiler-loving fan, footage believed to have been filmed during preparations for the forthcoming Star Wars Celebration event:

The title, though not officially confirmed in any capacity, does make a lot of sense. The Resistance is due for some title-defining conflict, not to mention the heavy Resistance vibes present in previous (and equally alleged) Episode VIII leaks. Disney did not immediately respond to Complex's request for comment, presumably because they're still busy counting all the cash they made from The Force Awakens.

As for what we do know, Star Wars: Episode VIII (Fall of the Resistance?) stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Mark Hamill, and Oscar Isaac. The sequel, directed by Rian Johnson (Looper), is set to hit theaters Dec. 15, 2017. Anyone else down for another year of speculation?
