Ever since his role was announced way back in 2014, the reaction to Jesse Eisenberg as supervillain Lex Luthor in the DC film universe has always been, shall we say, mixed. Some people had problems with his appearance (sporting a full head of hair) or his vibe (some described it as a way more evil version of his Mark Zuckerberg portrayal in The Social Network). However, some thought that his "unhinged and neurotic" version of the character was one of the bright spots in the not-very-good Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

All of that probably adds up to you feeling some type of way about what Eisenberg said at the MCM London Comic Con this week, where he basically confirmed that he'll be back as Luthor for at least one Justice League film.

Here's what he told the crowd, via Digital Spy.

"I'm kind of in wait," he said. "They just started filming Justice League, so I'm kind of like waiting for my crack at it.

Eisenberg in February told Playboy that his portrayal was "in line with what audiences want to see now, which is a more modern, psychologically realistic concept of Lex Luthor." He expanded on that concept while speaking to the crowd in London, saying that he wants his version of Luthor to be real and go deeper than what's on the surface.

"To me, the most interesting acting is when actors can bring you in to another side of the person. When you feel like you are not seeing the purpose of them for the plot. That they're not just delivering a message, that they're actually showing you some kind of humanity."

As for how he felt about the final product of Batman V Superman, Eisenberg previously revealed that he hasn't seen the movie and doesn't have plans to ever watch it.

Director Zack Snyder's Justice League Part One is slated to come out on Nov. 17, 2017, with Part Two arriving in the summer of 2019. Long before then you'll be able to see Eisenberg in the new Woody Allen movie with Kristen Stewart, Cafe Societyand Now You See Me 2which comes out June 10.
