5 Reasons Why Idris Elba Would Be So Much Better as James Bond Than Tom Hiddleston

It looks like Daniel Craig has finally hung up his licence to kill and is giving up being James Bond —despite MGM basically driving a massive truck of money up to his house and begging him to stay. So ow we face the endless speculation of who is going to replace him as 007.

According to the bookies, Thor and High Rise Tom Hiddleston is apparently the massive favourite to get the gig, with his odds dropping from 2-1 to 1-2 and betting even being suspended after loads of money started being put on him. Now, don’t get us wrong, Hiddleston is a very talented actor (Loki in The Avengers, yo), and seems like a nice dude. But the other suggest to play Bond that has been circling for a long, long time is none other than Idris Elba. And let’s be honest, he’d be far superior to Hiddleston. Need proof? Here’s five reasons.

Of course, Idris Elba shouldn’t be James Bond just because he isn’t white. But when Fleming created Bond back in 1953, Britain different to it is now. Bond is meant to be part of the establishment, and while it’s far from perfect, the establishment is now full of people of all differed colours and backgrounds. A modern Bond should reflect modern Britain, and with all due respect, Idris Elba does that much better than the Eton-educated Hiddleston.
