Modern life is such a bore when you're trapped in a potentially abysmal social situation without a proper distraction. In many instances, simply being armed with a smartphone isn't enough. Sometimes you just need to dig into the Playstation 4 catalog while the rest of your social circle does annoying shit like talking, laughing, and other boring AF nonsense no sane person could tolerate. Thankfully, Gameranx has you covered.

Though the Remote Play app is currently available on Google Play, there's a slight catch to its mastery: Shit only works for select Sony Xperia phones. Thanks to a modified version of that app, developed by Twisted89 and co-signed by Gameranx, those with an Android device (4.2 or later) can now join the on-the-go action without taking the Xperia plunge.

Installation of the modified app is relatively easy, though some users have reported a few slight hiccups with connecting to their PS4. If the connection process becomes frustrating, users can simply skip the automated installation process and do it manually. One's preferred Android device then acts as both display and controller, utilizing on-screen controls for a simple and streamlined video gaming experience.

But what about all the purists who'd rather not bother with on-screen controls? Gameranx has got you covered, too. Simply connect a DualShock wireless controller by pairing it to your Android device via Bluetooth, thus giving you the gift of traditional control with the refreshing mobility of an Android display.

Enjoy your newfound freedom, Android users.
