Some longtime Johnny Depp fans are calling for a boycott of the actor's forthcoming movies following allegations of domestic violence made by Depp's wife Amber Heard. Depp's most recent film, the Tim Burton-directed Alice Through the Looking Glass, opened Friday, but its release could be impacted by what's going on in Depp's personal life right now.

Early Friday morning, TMZreported that Heard and her attorney, Samantha Spector, showed up in court to request a temporary restraining order against the actor. The order was later granted , with the judge requiring that Depp stay 100 yards away from Heard until a hearing in June.

Heard reportedly mentioned a specific incident that occurred Saturday in court and claimed Depp threw a phone at her face and badly bruised her eye during it. A picture, which Heard says was taken after the alleged incident, was obtained by TMZ:

Heard also claimed Depp broke other household items during the incident, citing Depp's alleged "drug and alcohol abuse." However, LAPD sources toldTMZ Heard did not file a police report and claimed she had "no evidence" of injury when they arrived at her residence Saturday. Depp's team is also reportedly refuting the accusations, pointing to recent Instagram activity that allegedly reveals no such injury. Reps for Depp and Heard have not responded to Complex's request for comment.

Longtime fans of Depp, also known for his work in the blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, have started sharing their thoughts on these allegations on Twitter. While some have simply floated the idea of a boycott of Depp's films, others have fully committed to it:

Boycott Alice through the looking glass. Don't put no more money into Johnny Depp women hitting pockets

Is it okay that I'm still gonna watch Johnny Depp movies?

— Caleb (@SenorCons) May 27, 2016

I'm not even gonna lie and say I'm a fan of Johnny Depp, I watch his movies occasionally when I'm bored. And I'm not on any side rn.

Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.

Others have started drawing comparisons to the public's treatment of Chris Brown, who pleaded guilty to felony assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009:

As details of the couple's ongoing divorce continue to play out in the public eye, there are also fans who are moving forward with plans to catch Alice Through the Looking Glass this weekend and other Depp films in the future:

Depp has not directly commented on the domestic violence allegations. However, following news of the couple's divorce, a rep for the actor released the following statement to Cosmopolitan:

Stay tuned for further developments.
