Remember way back in the summer of 2015 when Taylor Swift was photographed hanging with some of the X-Men: Apocalypse team? Of course you do. Collider even joked that, hey, maybe Swift was actually hanging with James McAvoyand company because she's going to show up in Apocalypse as Dazzler. Hilarious! Well, according to a fresh report, there just might be a tiny bit of truth tucked neatly inside that joke:

Sophie Turner tweeted the seemingly innocuous #FBF snap above, playfully joking about doing some deep vinyl digging with Cyclops. However, as noted (once again) by Collider, there's a seemingly obvious 1989 reference in Turner's tweet that seems a bit too definitive to simply pass as a coincidence.

Trolling or nah? Hard to say. The Dazzler album cover in the photo doesn't offer much in the way of additional clues, even when properly zoomed in, but a Swift cameo is starting to make a lot more sense as Apocalypse draws near. Also known as Alison Blaire, the character boasts the music-friendly ability of turning simple sound vibrations into light ultralight beams and (at least in the comics) a unique passion for a variety of genres.

With or without a Taylor Swift cameo, X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters May 27, 2016. One previously rumored appearance, i.e. Wolverine and his freshly sharpened claws, has (thankfully) already been gloriously confirmed:
