It’s been just over a week since his wife Michelle McNamara passed away at their home in California, but Patton Oswalt is paying tribute with a sweet message. The Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. actor took to Twitter to deliver the note along with spreading the word about an organization close to her heart.

She wrote lines that stung & hummed. 13 years in her presence was happily humbling. #RIPMichelleMcNamara https://t.co/bSYWFFD8NY

"She wrote lines that stung & hummed. 13 years in her presence was happily humbling. #RIPMichelleMcNamara" he wrote, according to UPROXX. The actor also included a link where fans can make a donation to the nonprofit 826LA in her name. Here’s a brief rundown of what they do:

826LA encourages young writers to explore their creativity and improve their writing skills, and helps teachers get their classes excited about writing. A donation to 826LA in Michelle’s honor helps push forward her creative legacy. On behalf of Michelle, Patton, and Alice, we thank you for your donation.

The crime writer, who ran the website True Crime Diary, died in her sleep last week. The cause of death is currently unknown.

Back in 2007, she  admitted to starting her popular blog for fun. "I wanted to get more involved in the cases that were fueling my own curiosity," she said. She focused on the lesser known cases like the Golden State Killer, who terrorized California women between 1976 and 1986.

McNamara is survived by her husband, Oswalt, and their 7-year-old daughter.
