Seinfeld will never go away, not that there’s anything wrong with that. Julia Louis-Dreyfus, currently starring on Veep, showed that that was true when she recently reprised her role as Elaine Benes last weekend while hosting Saturday Night Live. There she reunited with former collaborator Larry David who was on portray Bernie Sanders, again, during a mock democratic debate between him and Hillary Clinton (Kate McKinnon). Louis-Dreyfus is making Seinfeld news again after talking about her last day on set, which she calls "wrenching," and her ongoing friendships with the cast in a new interview reportsEntertainment Weekly.

Seinfeld ran for nine season before calling it a day in 1998. Now that you have that information you'll understand why Louis-Dreyfus describes the final day of shooting as "emotional."

In an interview with People and EW Louis-Dreyfus explained why it was time for the show to end and what it was like that final night.

"At the time, I was ready to take a break. I had two very young kids. I had a baby and a 5-year-old. I wanted calm, and [to] just sort of hunker down at home," Louis-Dreyfus said reports EW. "It was definitely bittersweet though. That night of our last show…was very emotional. The motto of our show was 'No hugging, no learning,' which is true. We were never trying to teach or [be] sentimental, but in fact, we were very sentimental. That night when we all bid goodbye was unbelievably wrenching."

When asked about how the cast has remained close Louis-Dreyfus said the cast doesn't see each other weekly but when they do "it's as if we never left each other."
