Who else can rise to the occasion to make a space comedy to rival this year's Golden Globe Comedy winner The Martian than the trifecta of Seth Rogen, Bill Hader, and, last but not least, Zach Galifianakis. The starry film is none other than The Something (previously The Somethings), which now has a release date.

As we reported last month The Something will see the trio as astronauts, which should definitely give Rogen's mom something to be proud of in addition to her son's weed-rolling skills. The film will not only be written by 22 Jump Street’s Rodney Rothman, it will also mark Rothman's directorial debut. It's hard for sequels to live up to their predecessors, but 22 Jump Street did just that, so this already a huge boost of confidence for The Something. That's if you doubted the hilarious cocktail that's going to be concocted by Rogen, Hader, and Galifianakis despite already seeing Rogen and Hader kill it in Superbad.

Did these guys prepare for The Something by watching Gravity? The Martian? Who knows! Details about The Something are sparse, but according to Variety, "The story centers on astronauts who happen upon a mysterious craft and find that they are not equipped to represent humankind in a battle of intelligent life."

The AV Club, citing Variety, reports The Something is locked and loaded for a May 26, 2017 release date.

You're set for Memorial Day weekend.
