Here Is the First Look at the 'Ducktales' Reboot

Life is like a hurricane (of reboots).

Literally everything you loved as a kid is being rebooted now, and the next one up in the classic Disney cartoon Ducktales. Thankfully it’s not going to be some awkward live-action movie with Zach Galifianakis playing a CGI Uncle Scrooge or anything, it’s just going to be a new animated show on Disney XD. And now the first image has dropped. It looks like they’re going for a more classical animation vibe, more like a 50s cartoon than the cheap and nasty animation of the early 90s.

The official synopsis reads:

This new series once again stars Scrooge McDuck, grandnephews Huey, Duey, and Louie, and of course, Donald Duck. Based on this image, this new series will once again feature the kind of comic misadventures the original show was so well known for. As for the style, this is decidedly traditional, borrowing from the streamlined graphic style of the insanely popular Mickey Mouse short series.

The new Ducktales will air in 2017.
