Paul, way back in 2012, said that being a part of King's 'Dark Tower' would be a "huge dream" come true.

Dreams really do come true. Just ask Breaking Bad legend Aaron Paul, who has reportedly secured a spot in Stephen King’s increasingly stacked The Dark Tower franchise. Citing "reliable sources" close to the film’s production, Blastr reports that Paul has joined the cast in an undisclosed role. If this slice of insider info becomes truth, then the artist formerly known as Jesse Pinkman joins previously confirmed stars Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey.

Of course, Twitter historians will note that Aaron Paul previously expressed his desire to join the burgeoning franchise way back in 2012:

Rumors of Paul's involvement with the project, which at one point had Ron Howard attached as a director, have persisted throughout the franchise's storied development. "I don't even know if they're still making that movie," Paul told We Got This Covered in 2014, surrounding the release of his Kid Cudi-assisted Need for Speed. "Eddie Dean is one of the greatest characters ever and I love the Dark Tower series."

With the aforementioned Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey aboard the Nikolaj Arcel-helmed film as Roland Deschain and the Man in Black, respectively, perhaps Paul's high praise for Eddie Dean has finally parlayed itself into reality. Though the original plan was to focus solely on The Gunslinger, this inevitable blockbuster is now set to start somewhere in the middle of the story. The Dark Tower will start dominating theaters in February 2017, meaning we can likely expect some sort of official statement on Aaron Paul's involvement—either a confirmation or a tragic denial—in the days and weeks ahead.
