Leonardo DiCaprio, newly minted Pope BFF and obvious Oscar earner, kind of got a bad deal in James Cameron's 1997 three-hour opus Titanic. Though there was clearly plenty of room left on Rose (Kate Winslet)'s life-saving piece of debris, she decided to just let Jack (DiCaprio) dramatically freeze to death. The power of love is strong though not, apparently, quite strong enough to inspire you to effortlessly save someone's life.

"I agree!" Winslet told Jimmy Kimmel when confronted about Rose's baffling decision to let her lover freeze to death. "I think [Jack] could have actually fitted on that bit of door." Exactly. So many bummers in that movie.

Winslet also spoke candidly about seeing DiCaprio at the recent SAG Awards earlier this week, adding that it's always "endearing" to see the immediate reaction the two get when anywhere near each other in public. "People are always so excited to see Leo and myself in the same space, which, you know, at the end of the day, that’s so lovely," Winslet said. "It’s been 20 years, and people still get such a kick out of it!"

Rest in power, Jack Dawson.
