Rumor has it a new big bad might be joining the Fast family: Charlize Theron

Theron, as you may or may not know, is just getting off of a very good year having starred in one of the best films of 2015 (Also Oscar-nominated) Mad Max: Fury Road as everyone’s favorite fierce heroine Imperator Furiosa. Deadline broke the news about Theron’s possible attachment to the Furious film, but before you pop open a few Coronas (Not a plug) and celebrate, its just early talks. A source toldVariety that the studio wants to cast Theron.

Fast has always seen strong, complex, and not to mention diverse, female characters throughout its series, so adding Theron would be another step in the right direction.

Fast 8 will zoom into theaters April 14, 2017.
