While it did come out of nowhere, it does make sense that Sarah Palin came out to publicly endorse Donald Trump. The former Governor of Alaska spoke to a crowd in Iowa last week, and, well, no one exactly knew what she was saying. Fortunately Palin's erratic speech inspired the writers of Saturday Night Live to bring back Tina Fey to open this week's show.

Wearing the same outfit Plain wore in Iowa, Fey came out onstage as Palin and delivered a speech that mostly resembled slam poetry. She opened by saying, "I wanted to take a break from my fulltime career of writing things on Facebook to fly down here and lend my support to the next president of the United States." Then she truly went off.

Donald Trump, played by Darrell Hammond, stood nearby and provided commentary on Palin's speech. At some point he seems to even wonder if her endorsement really is a good idea.
