If you're a person who just so happens to be alive right now, then you've definitely joined everyone else in riding quite high since Jenna Fischerconfirmed that she and John Krasinski were "genuinely in love" while filming America's take on The Office:

However, as previously suggested by wise skeptics, apparently none of that was true and the universal promise of eternal love is indeed quite dead.

"I think that was wildly misquoted or taken out of context," a presumably annoyed Krasinski tells The Daily Beast. "I’m sure she was trying to say something nice about how genuine the acting relationship was, of bringing a relationship that became that popular onscreen—and I think we both feel it’s such an honor to be a part of that relationship." Adding that the "genuinely in love" bit was surely just "taken wildly out of context," Krasinski effectively destroyed society's general trust of American adaptations of British mockumentaries.

Krasinski, of course, is married (with a new kid) to Emily Blunt. Fischer's been married to Lee Kirk for nearly six years. Meanwhile, many of us are alone and looking to classic NBC comedies for some kind of encouragement or truth or even just a really good lie. Anything at all, really.
