Production has been temporarily halted on HBO’sdramaWestworld and it has nothing to do with the controversy surrounding a documents requiring background actors to sign a document agreeing to perform "genital-to-genital" touching. According to Variety, things were pulled to a stop so that executive produces can catch up on the four final scripts.

"As we head into the final phase of production on Westworld, we’ve made the decision to take a brief hiatus in order to get ahead of the writing," the network said in a statement. Production will reportedly resume in March.

Based on the 1973 film of the same name, the sci-fi drama centers on a futuristic theme park and is described as "a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin." The show stars Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden and Thandie Newton.

While there is no premiere date set, HBO says it will air in 2016.
