The Dark Souls series has gone form strength-to-strength over the years, being praised for it’s addictive AF gameplay and infuriating difficultly levels. With a third instalment set to drop this April, Titan Comics have announced that they’ll be releasing an official comic book series based on the game.

According to IGN, the comic will be simply called ‘Dark Souls’ and will be set within the universe of 2014’s ‘Game of The Year’. Issue 1 of Dark Souls will come in five variant covers designed by Joshua Cassara and Marco Tuni and will be written by George Mann and drawn by Alan Quah

In Titan Comic’s official press release Mann expressed his excitement for the new series saying:

"I’m ‘dead’ excited to be working on this new series (see what I did, there). Dark Souls has a rich, original universe that’s just begging to be explored in comics, and I’m honoured to have the opportunity to delve in and tell some new stories within it. I’ve been a fan of the games for some time, so it’s a real thrill to be able to contribute to the mythology of the Hollows and their world.”
