Baz Luhrmann, the visionary director behind the lux, musically-driven films such as Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge, and The Great Gatsby, is bringing his colorful aesthetic to Netflix screens this year, in a new musical drama called The Get Down. Watch the sizzle reel above, which showcases familiar Luhrmann flourishes on a '70s New York City disco scene. The series follows a group of teens from the South Bronx starring Jaden Smith, Shameik Moore (Dope), and Mamoudou Athie as Grandmaster Flash. (See character details here and here.)
