Avengers: Infinity War is still a few years away but the Russo brothers, who will be directing the two-part comic book flick, have already teased us for what they have in-store. During their attendance at Wizard World in New Orleans, the brothers revealed that they're currently considering 67 characters to feature in the film.

Joe and Anthony Russo, who have also directed the upcoming Captain America: Civil War film, wowed the audience by revealing that there are '67 superheroes, villains and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents who are ready to throw down with 'The Mad Titan' that is Thanos (voiced by Josh Brolin).

Joe Russo told the crowd:

"We're breaking ground on Avengers: Infinity War. We have a board with 67 characters on it. You'll have to forgive him."

Naturally, the Russo's kept a tight lip on who would appear in the two-part 'Battle Royale' but we can only speculate (and hope) that we'll finally get to see the likes of Cap and Iron Man fighting alongside the likes of Marvel's TV superheroes such as DaredevilQuake and Jessica Jones—fingers crossed. One thing is for sure, there will be 'nerdgasms' aplenty when both films finally hit the cinemas.

Avengers: Infinity Wars Part I is slated for release in the UK on April 27, 2018, whilst Part II will most likely be scheduled for a day before on the following year.

The Russo brothers' Captain America: Civil War will be out in the UK on April 29 this year, and will be the first film to kick off the MCU's Phase Three series.
