Spoiler alert: Star Wars is still really good at making seemingly implausible amounts of money in a relatively brief amount of time. As of Sunday, confirmed intergalactic tearjerkerStar Wars: The Force Awakens has surpassed $1 billion at the box office faster than any other movie in history. This billion-dollar brag was achieved in a staggering 12 days, meaning Jurassic World's previous record of 13 days is now nothing but a distant memory (second spoiler alert: The Force Awakens is a much better film).

"You almost have to rewrite all the record books for this movie," box office analyst Paul Dergarabedian tells the Associated Press. "It's absolutely mind-blowing that Star Wars could get to a billion dollars in 12 days and it hasn't even opened in China, the second biggest movie market in the world." Paul's pretty spot-on, especially considering the fact that Jurassic World's fast track to a billi was aided by record-smashing China grosses. The Force Awakens, however, doesn't land in China until Jan. 9.

Though final domestic figures won't be available until Monday, Rentrak and AP have the top 5 global hauls for Friday through Sunday looking a little something like this:

1. "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," $153.5 million ($133.3 international).

Keep stacking the cash, Force Awakens. You deserve it.
