Preview Review: Trailers for 'Misconduct,' 'Eddie the Eagle' and More

Here are some new trailers that dropped this week!

After last week's major trailer drops, this week is pretty slow and disappointing. Still, there are a couple of films we are looking forward to. There's a new thriller Misconduct that stars legends Al Pacino and Sir Anthony Hopkins, a biopic about skier Michael "Eddie" Edwards with up and comer Taron Egerton, and two sequels to two very popular animated films. Check them out below.

Genre: Thriller

Director: Shintaro Shimosawa

Stars: Anthony Hopkins, Al Pacino, Julia Styles, Malin Akerman, Josh Duhamel

Release Date: February 5

In Misconduct Josh Duhamel, also known as Mr. Fergie Ferguson, plays a lawyer who must investigate...misconduct. Duhamel stars as Ben, a man who's investigating a pharmaceutical company, led by the very wealthy and villainous Sir Anthony Hopkins. As he starts to make progress on the case, his life starts to unravel. Misconduct, which sounds and looks like a Josh Grisham adaptation, doesn't seem to be anything special, but it does bring Al Pacino and Hopkins together. That alone is worth it.

Eddie the Eagle

Genre: Drama, Biopic

Director: Dexter Fletcher

Stars: Taron Egerton, Hugh Jackman

Release Date: February 26

I'm going to admit, this looks pretty sweet. Taron Egerton, who broke out in last year's The Kingsman and had a small, but memorable role in the under-seen Testament of Youth, will next appear in Eddie the Eagle, a drama that chronicles the real story of Michael "Eddie" Edwards, the first person to represent Britain in the Olympics for skiing. Despite adversity—and from the trailer it seems he faced a lot—he does end up competing in the 1988 Olympics. Oh, also, Hugh Jackman plays his rebellious American coach.

Ice Age: Collision Course

Genre: Animated

Directors: Mike Thurmeier, Galen T. Chu

Stars: Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Queen Latifah

You'd think the ice age would have ended at this point, but Fox has no plans to end the animated franchise that takes place during the coldest of times. The trailer for Ice Age: Collision Course is simple and sweet enough. Scrat, the squirrel obsessed with the nut he can never have, is at it again. He finds his way into space and ends up crashing into a meteor that ends up headed towards Earth. We only get a glimpse at the other characters, but the quick scene introduces the conflict that will definitely play into this latest film.

Genre: Animated

Directors: Jennifer Yuh Nelson, Alessandro Carloni

Stars: Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Lucy Liu, Bryan Cranston

Kung Fu Panda is back for a third movie, but more importantly Angelina Jolie is back in the third movie. Ku Fu Panda 3 once again follows Po, played by Jack Black, the outsider panda who can't seem to do anything right. Reunited with his biological father he makes his way to a panda haven where he finds, to no surprise, that he once again doesn't fit in. To make matters worse an ancient evil spirit begins to haunt China and Po and his friends must do everything they can to stop it. Chill.
