Forgot everything you know about the Mona Lisapainting. Previous theories, like the one that says there could be a duplicate, pale in comparison to this latest revelation from the BBC. New evidence is saying that there are two versions of Lisa painted on the same canvas.

The theory is part of the documentarySecrets of Mona Lisa, presented by art historian Andrew Graham-Dixon and set to air Tuesday on BBC Two. The film will dig through centuries-old documents to figure out Lisa’s true identity. State-of-the-art technology will also show how Leonardo Da Vinci likely painted over the original with what we see now hanging in the Louvre.
