Like many actors, Chris Hemsworth comes from an unassuming background. The middle son of an English teacher and a social services counselor, Hemsworth used to clean breast pumps for a living before he became People'sSexiest Man Alive and also, you know, Thor. He's come a long way from his humble Australian origins, but thanks to his success as an actor, he's been able to give back where it counts.

In an interview with The Independent, Chris' younger brother Liam Hemsworth of Hunger Games fame (definitely not Chris, you guys) told the story of his father's reaction when Chris paid off every penny of his parents' debts. After Chris hit it big, Liam says one day he called his dad and told him to check his bank account.

"He called my brother back and said, 'I don’t know how to feel. Since I left home I've had debts, and I thought I’d be paying them off until I died and have this weight hanging over me, and now to have them completely cleared...'" Liam said. "They're so happy now and able to spend more time with us. I'd love to be able to do something for my parents like that."

Technically we all owe the Hemsworth parents for blessing the world with Chris and Liam—two gorgeous, fantastic dudes with gorgeous, fantastic accents. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Hemsworth. We are not worthy.
