If you ever wondered what it would be like if video games were real, you're about to find out. A biohacker named Octavio A. MartinezGarcía has designed a device that can help stimulate lucid dreaming—the part when you’re aware you’re dreaming and can control what’s happening—for a real-life gaming experience right inside your eyelids.

But, as PSFK points out, Napz can actually help people suffering from insomnia, severe nightmares, PTSD and similar sleep disorders fall asleep more easily. The user places the mask over their eyes and then lights shine through the eyelids, focusing on Rapid Eye Movement (REM). REM helps determine the person’s level of sleep and how active the dream might be, which allows the light to mimic REM and trigger the ability to interact with a dream.

The device was recently showcased at Digital Futures UKMX labs weekend where other tech-savvy individuals gathered to show off their inventions as well.
