Fear the Walking Dead, which is also a show on television that people watch, just scored another brag for AMC: the highest-rated first season in cable history. In its six-episode premiere batch, the largely well-received Walking Dead spinoff averaged a staggering 11.2 million viewers. As previously reported, the aptly named Fear the Walking Dead was renewed for a second season before the record-breaking first one even started airing.

This also means that AMC is sliding into the final months of 2015 while completely dominating the top three shows on cable, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The Walking Dead (No. 1), Fear the Walking Dead (No. 2), and the near-perfect Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul (No. 3) now place the network in a truly unique position as we approach the season premiere of the original Dead and a smattering of new series in 2016.

To celebrate this news, the AMC team sadly didn't slide into their favorite zombie attire and get wasted. Instead, the network announced that Fear would be receiving its own Talking Dead pairing beginning with the show's second season because too much of a good thing is (apparently?) just a really good thing.
