The Latest 'Captain America: Civil War' Spoiler Comes Straight From the Hulk's Mouth

Sadly, the unjolly green giant will not get very much screen time in 'Captain America: Civil War.' In fact, he will actually be getting none.

If you were hoping for a delightfully Hulk-heavy vibe for Marvel's forthcoming Captain America: Civil War, then recent words from professional Hulk impersonator Mark Ruffalo will sorely disappoint you. In a new interview with Italian film publication badtaste.it, Ruffalo appears to confirm Hulk's absence from Captain America: Civil War while hinting at a larger role for the enviably toned green one:

"I believed that [Hulk] would be in the film, but at the end, it was evident that they needed to reveal that the Hulk did something very significant, and that Marvel wanted to use this in a more upfront [manner]. My character was inserted into the script, but it was later removed. Who knows, maybe Hulk will never return. However, [Marvel] want to keep the revelation of what happened a secret, because it is something truly significant."

Of course, this only furthers the Hulk's greatly storied existence on the big screen. Cinematic Hulkisms don't always go as planned, a lesson learned the hardest possible way by one Edward Norton in 2008. As noted by others, no solo Hulk films are currently on the roster for Marvel. The blockbuster factory recently released its release schedule for the next four years, including 2019's definitely Hulkless Inhumans.
