George Zimmerman, the man who walked away a free man after fatally shooting Trayvon Martin, and after every violent encounter in his life, is selling confederate flag art. That’s not even the worst part, he’s selling signed and numbered prints of his painting to raise money for the legal costs of a friend who owns the Florida Gun Supply, which he declared a “Muslim-free zone.” His friend, Andy Hallinan, is currently being sued by the Council on American Islamic Relations after his comment.

Zimmerman explained the painting telling the Florida Gun Supply

“The caption, ‘the 2nd protects the first’ is a double entendre. The first flag I painted on this canvas was an American Flag, but decided to repaint over it with the Confederate Flag when I heard Andy [Hallinan] was getting sued by CAIR. The 2nd flag I painted was the Battle Flag — which we need in America in order to protect the first.”

According to the Florida Gun Supply website, a print purchase guarantees you an entry to possibly win Zimmerman’s original painting. Here's Zimmerman explaining the painting while also thanking the "great, patriotic" people of this nation for donating and helping with his own legal troubles.
