An off-duty Florida cop made a lucky catch on Friday. Instead of fish, he reeled in 50 pounds of cocaine. He was 25 miles off the coast of Englewood Beach, near the coast of Fla., when he caught the bricks, which appeared to be wrapped in a trash bag, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports

It's unclear where the bricks came from and where they were going. Police in the area are trying to figure out who might come looking for the missing drugs, which will be worth about $12 million when cut. For safety purposes, the department isn't releasing the name of the deputy who made the catch.

The waterways between Mexico and the United States are a reportedly a common way to smuggle illegal drugs into the country. So, um, fishing in Florida, anyone?
