Nearing his September 8th Late Show premiere, the ever-brilliant Stephen Colbert debuted the new (presumably temporary) marquee to much tweeted applause.
Of course, the new marquee is perhaps most welcomed by Angelo's — the Ed Sullivan Theater's neighboring restaurant and newfound recipient of the Colbert bump. True Colbert scholars will note that this is far from Jimmy Fallon's future competition's first public display of adoration for the Italian export.
