Are you surprised? After making a shit ton of money—currently holding the spot for the third highest-grossing movie EVER—of course they were gonna make a Jurassic World sequel. As someone who had a hell of a good time watching the reboot, I couldn't be more stoked for Jurassic World 2. I'm a simple woman with simple needs, and I will throw all my money at mindless blockbuster flicks! I will watch as many Jurassic sequels they can throw at me. Sorry not sorry.
Steven Spielberg will executive produce again with Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly on the script as well (Trevorrow probably won't direct again, though). And yes, Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will star again, so we can see more of that sexual tension build up as they run away from dinosaurs. Also more Chris Pratt dinosaur trainer outfits! And possibly more running in heels. (Also, here's hoping Jake Johnson returns as comic relief-slash-nerdy sidekick.)
The one downside? We'll have to wait 'til 2018 for the sequel to drop. I can hear your groans but sorry, haters. I'm out here counting down the days. HELL YEAH, HELL YEAH.
