Disney’s current game is make live action version of their classic animations. They’ve done it with Cinderella, they’ve done it with Sleeping Beauty (Maleficent starring Angelina Jolie), and The Jungle Book and Beauty And The Beast are coming soon.
What’s next? Aladdin. But this isn’t just any old remake. It’s basically going to be Disney Origins: Genie, and it will tell the origin of Robin William’s genie of the lamp. Thing is, Robin William performance in the original is pretty much the most beloved voice performance in any Disney film ever. Whoever they get, it isn’t going to sound right.
