As the world hurdles closer and closer to the June 21st return of True Detective, HBO continues to release frustratingly info-free teasers — though the latest pair of clips presents the speculation-promoting disappearance of Colin Farrell's previously prominent mustache. Elsewhere, fires are started and general mystery is established through a lack of dialogue and a focus on mood.
As previously reported, Cary Fukunaga did not return for the forthcoming second season of the highly tweetable series — possibly due to conflicts of some sort with series creator Nic Pizzolatto. The second season also stars Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch, and Vince Vaughn. In semi-related news, Vaughn recently likened the practice of banning guns to the act of "banning forks" — an interesting splash of information which may or may not reveal itself to be a cleverly revealed plot point in a forthcoming episode of True Detective.
