When computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee invented the internet (well, sort of) in 1989, he probably had all sorts of plans for what could be done with it—but little did he know we’d spend most of our time just watching looping animations of cats and scenes from Broad City and Kanye not smiling.
And wasting your life watching GIFs just got a whole lot easier. Tumblr have launched Tumblr TV. Go to the site, and it’ll autoplay a loop of popular GIFs at random. When we did it, we got Stephen Colbert, One Direction, some anime and a kid pretending to be Beyonce all in the first minute or two. It was like the internet in a microcosm.
