Dustin 'Screech' Diamond Sentenced to Four Months in Jail For Stabbing Incident

Dustin Diamond, known for his extensive history with 'Saved by the Bell,' stabbed someone at a bar and reportedly scripted his testimony.

Remember that nightmare you had as a kid wherein Screech, your favorite character on the perpetually fashion-forward TV series Saved by the Bell, stabbed a guy at a bar then spent four months in jail? Well, your nightmare has come to sweeping, crashing life — as Screech (Dustin Diamond) was sentenced on Thursday to four months in jail for a barroom stabbing.

A Wisconsin judge also sentenced Diamond to a 15-month probation, with orders to report to jail on Sunday. Earlier this year, Diamond was convicted on two misdemeanor counts stemming from the December 2014 bar fight. According to Ozaukee County District Attorney Adam Gerol, Diamond presented a false account of the incident alongside a scripted testimony.

Diamond, of course, has maintained a less-than-admirable career since the reign of Saved by the Bell, including — but certainly not limited to — a very meta sex tape, a grueling reality TV stint, and an ill-conceived tell-all book detailing the complex inner workings of his Bell days.
